Raised in a sleepy town in rural northwest Georgia, Jade Alexandria began cultivating her own universe at an early age. The period films and historical biographies of scandalous women that she read to fill the silence would become her main source of inspiration as a creative. She took up sewing, embroidery, and millinery in order to create for herself modern iterations of the clothing and accessories that she loved from history.
Her design philosophy hinges on two principles. The first is that true luxury lies in the rare and the tangible. The second is a reverence for senseless beauty. Her designs focus on highlighting the female form and looking to the past, most notably 18th century western Europe, for details, techniques, and silhouettes. She liberally incorporates corsetry and padding, letting the garment work to achieve the desired silhouette rather than relying on the body.
Jade has studied fashion in both France and the USA, acquiring a high competence level in varied domains including couture sewing, moulage, 3D rendering, and technical design development.
